The Maladaptive Schema Scale (MSS) is a 108-item tool that assesses maladaptive patterns of thoughts, behaviours and emotions. It measures 27 schemas,  integrating traditional early maladaptive schemas described by Jeffery Young and additional schemas based on attachment, trauma and other contemporary research.

The Brief Hierarchical Taxonomy of Psychopathology (B-HiTOP), developed by the HiTOP Consortium, is a 45-item self-report measure designed to provide broad screening assessment of dimensions that span the hierarchical structure of psychopathology in adults (HiTOP Consortium, 2025).

The International Trauma Questionnaire (ITQ) is an 18-item self-report measure designed to assess symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Disturbances in Self Organization (DSO), which together constitute Complex PTSD (CPTSD) in accordance with the International Classification of Diseases 11 (ICD-11) conceptualisation of trauma-related diagnoses.

The Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5) is a 20-item self-report measure of the twenty DSM-5 symptoms of PTSD in adult populations (ages 18+). It is designed for use with people who have experienced traumatic events.

Personal Wellbeing Index – Adult – 5 (PWI-A)

The Mood and Feelings Questionnaire (Short Version) – Parent Report (MFQ-Parent) is a 13-item measure assessing recent depressive symptomatology in children aged 6-17 years. The MFQ-Parent is parent-rated and asks the parent to report how their child has been feeling or acting in the past two weeks.

WHOQOL-BREF is a 26-item self-report measure for adults (18+) that is used to assess self-perceived quality of life. It was developed by the Word Health Organisation as a quality of life assessment that could be applicable cross-culturally (The WHOQOL Group, 1994). The scale is designed to measure the impact of disease and impairment on daily activities and behaviour, perceived health, disability and functional capacity.
