Details and Reports

The Depression Anxiety Stress Scales – Youth version (DASS-Y) is a version of the DASS-21 for youth aged 7 – 18 years of age designed to measure general psychological distress and the negative emotional states of depression, anxiety and stress. The wording and focus of the questions is simplified compared to other versions of the DASS, making it more relevant for young people.

The Pediatric Symptom Checklist-17 (PSC-17) is a psychosocial screening tool designed to facilitate the recognition of cognitive, emotional, and behavioural problems so that appropriate interventions can be initiated as early as possible.

The Vanderbilt ADHD Diagnostic Teacher Rating Scale (VADTRS) is a 43-item teacher-report measure designed to assess symptoms of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and common comorbid conditions in children aged 5-12 years (Wolraich et al., 1998). It is the teacher rated version which can be used in parallel with the parent version: Vanderbilt ADHD Diagnostic Parent Rating Scale (VADPRS).

The Spence Children’s Anxiety Scale – Parent Version (SCAS-Parent) is a 38-item parent report measure designed to assess anxiety symptoms in children aged 7-13 years. Built upon contemporary diagnostic frameworks, the SCAS-Parent evaluates six distinct domains of anxiety that align with clinical diagnostic categories.

The Mood and Feelings Questionnaire (Short Version) – Parent Report (MFQ-Parent) is a 13-item measure assessing recent depressive symptomatology in children aged 6-17 years. The MFQ-Parent is parent-rated and asks the parent to report how their child has been feeling or acting in the past two weeks.

The Childhood Autism Spectrum Test (CAST) is a screening tool designed to identify children who may have developmental differences in social and communication functioning. Parents, carers or teachers of children aged 4 to 11 answer a series of questions about a child’s development.
